OLIVIA JADE CAME TO ‘RED TABLE TALK’ FOR REDEMPTION BUT JADA PINKETT-SMITH’S MOM WASN’T HAVING IT: ‘I FOUGHT IT TOOTH & NAIL’
Wednesday, Dec 9, 2020

Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade reached out to Red Table Talk to apologize for her participation in the college admissions scandal, but Jada Pinkett-Smith’s mom, Adrienne Banfield Norris aka Gammy, was not here for it. “I fought it tooth and nail” Adrienne shared with Jada and granddaughter Willow Smith, explaining that Olivia seeking support from black women was “the epitome of white privilege.”

“I feel like here we are, a white woman coming to Black women for support when we don’t get the same from them. It’s bothersome to me on so many levels. Her being here is the epitome of white privilege to me,” Adrienne shared. “There is so much devastation, particularly this year, 2020 with the pandemic, and everything brought to the table about how there is so much inequality and inequity, that when you come to the table with something like this, it’s like, ‘Child, please.'”

Olivia Jade’s parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, plead guilty to conspiracy charges in the college admissions scandal and are currently serving their time.

What do you think of Olivia Jade coming to Red Table Talk to apologize for her family’s “big mistake”? Tune in to see how our Dish Nation hosts feel about this scholastic scandal!
