Chris Harrison is still in hot water over his recent racism controversy, but that won’t keep him away from his long-time hosting gig at ‘The Bachelor!’ After coming under fire for defending contestant Rachel Kirconnell for “liking” racially insensitive social media posts, the former Bachelor host told Good Morning America that although he “made a mistake,” he plans to resume his position at the franchise.
âI am an imperfect man I made a mistake and I own that,â he shared with GMA. “I believe that mistake doesnât reflect who I am or what I stand for. I am committed to the progress not just for myself also for the franchise.â
Chris’ drama started during an Extra interview with Rachel Lindsayâthe first black The Bacheloretteâwhere they discussed Rachel Kirconnell’s alleged racist social media behavior. Chris defended Kirconnell, saying fans should show her âa little grace, a little understandingâ for being photographed at a 2018 plantation-themed party and “liking” racially insensitive material. Chris has since denounced Kirconnell’s behavior, apologized to Rachel Lindsay for his insensitive remarks, and has been working with Black studies professor, Dr. Eric Dyson.
