Britney Spears may have lost her bid to remove her estranged father James Spears as her conservator, but the “Stronger” pop star is not giving up—or is she? The 38-year-old songstress is reportedly on strike and refuses to perform long as her father is in charge of her career. Samuel D. Ingham III, Britney’s attorney, shared her wishes with the judge during yesterday’s hearing.
“My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father,” Ingham said—adding that “She will not perform again if her father is in charge of her career.”
James has served as Britney’s co-conservator since 2008 alongside her previous attorney Andrew Wallet and became sole conservator when Wallet resigned in 2019.
