It looks like Britney Spears’ childhood friend and ex-husband of 55 hours, Jason Alexander, wants that old thing back! He joined ‘Free Britney’ protestors outside of a Los Angeles courthouse where her conservatorship proceedings are taking place, which he claims is keeping him from getting close to the pop star.
“I’ve got love for her, definitely,” Jason told Us Weekly. “I’d love to be back in her life some way or another, but this conservatorship is holding that back from happening. We never were given a shot the first time around. If there’s feeling still there, maybe we see where they go but that’s not — you know that’s on her.”
Jason—who showed up in support of removing Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, as her conservator—also threw a little bit of shade at Britney’s current beau, Sam Asghari. “You know, where’s Sam at? I don’t see anybody,” Jason said. “I feel like somebody should be standing up for her doing it.”

Jason and Britney made pop-culture history in 2004 when the two got hitched in Vegas but annulled 55 hours later. What do you think of him supporting Britney during her legal drama?
